Eric Dietrich, Pharm.D., a clinical associate professor in the University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s department of pharmacy education and practice, was recognized with a Patient First Award by the UF College of Medicine’s Division of General Internal Medicine. Dietrich was one of eight faculty selected for the award by the division’s clinical staff.

The Patient First Award celebrates faculty members who exceed expectations in patient care, demonstrating compassion, personal dedication and prompt, effective responses. All recipients were honored at the division’s annual award ceremony.
Dietrich manages an anticoagulation clinic at UF Health Internal Medicine at Kanapaha in southwest Gainesville. His clinical responsibilities involve monitoring warfarin and direct oral anticoagulant medications, along with supporting a multidisciplinary transitions of care clinic for patients with recent acute myocardial infarction who are seeking care within UF Health Shands cardiology service.
